Upcoming Appearances
14.06.2026 – Stadtcasino Basel Bicentenary

Join us on Sunday 14 June at 18:00 to celebrate the 200th anniversary of the Stadtcasino Basel. Admission is free!

We are honoured to be closing out the weekend of festivities with a concert that highlights the musical diversity of Basel Proms, and the Stadtcasino. This invitation is a testiment to the growing affections of Basel audiences and a milestone for our ensemble.

Our 30-minute programme will feature classical favourites, a musical theatre medley (with surprise guest!) and Broadway highlights that will have you jumping from your seats!

Conductors include Chorus Master Maija Gschwind and Principal Conductor David Lawrence. The chorus will be accompanied by organist, Babette Mondry and pianist, Daniel Borovitzky. Vocalists are soprano Beverley Worboys and Grace Sanders.
11.09.2026 – enchanté singfestival riehen

On 11 September at 19:00, the Basel Proms Chorus will open the enchanté singfestival riehen with a short performance, as well as a brief workshop and singalong!
Choral conductor – Maija Gschwind; Artistic Director – Beverley Worboys.

21.11.2026 – A Basel Night at the Proms

Our last event in 2026 will be a very special celebration of music and culture – our flagship gala at the Stadtcasino Basel, on Saturday 21 November at 19:30.

The music programme showcases symphonic masterpieces, choral highlights from operas and musical theatre, performances from renowned international soloists, and surprise appearances by traditional, Basel musicians.

We will welcome back Principal Conductor David Lawrence, the Basel Festival Orchestra, and soprano, Beverley Worboys. Other star soloists include the up-and-coming young violinist, Amira Abouzahra, Welsh opera singer (and famed “Gio Compario” character), Wynne Evans, and the brilliant American mezzo-soprano, Angela Brower.

Audiences play a vital role in Basel Proms performances. You will be immersed in a fun and festive atmosphere: the dress code is relaxed, and you can enjoy a good ‘sing-along’ in the second half, amid a sea of flags and colour.

Become part of the Basel Proms tradition. Join us with family and friends for an unforgettable musical experience.

Congratulations on a marvellous spectacle last Saturday! I had a delightful time watching the performances that captured the spirit of the very much loved British classic 'Last Night of the Proms'.

I have absolutely no words to describe how great this experience was. I am definitely gonna be back if this happens again next year or the next”
