The world’s greatest classical music concert – Made in Basel

Inspired by the legendary BBC Proms music festival, Basel Proms offers a unique concert format that almost defies description!

Programmes feature traditional orchestral music alongside well-known popular classics, naval shanties, and beloved Basel melodies.   

A musical tradition that began in the parks of London in the 1890’s has found a natural home in Basel. Our inaugural in 2022 sold out five weeks before the performance, and the 2024 concert met with similar success! 

This November, we return with a host of Swiss and international soloists. A magnificent chorus of 120 local singers and the Basel Festival Orchestra will again be led by David Lawrence  – one of the UK’s most acclaimed conductors.
